“For God so loved the world…”
Jesus did not come to die for Christians alone. From the foundation of the world, He had all of us in mind. Every tribe, every nation, every background. His love extends to those of other religions, and even to those who do not practice any faith at all. Salvation was made available to whosoever believes. All inclusive.
Salvation was brought to the world. To all men. It is the desire of God for all men to be saved (1 Tim 2:3-4). The difference between a believer and an unbeliever is not in God’s offer. It is that they have heard the Gospel, they believe the Gospel and confess that Jesus is Lord. God has brought everything to the table. He did not require anything from us to received salvation. Even the believing comes hearing the Gospel (Romans 10:17).
Salvation is available to every person but it is only accessed by those who believer in their heart and confess with their mouth (Romans 10:9-10).
